I’ll come clean: I’m a sucker for word games. Crosswords, Scrabble, Boggle – if it involves letters, I’m in. So when I found Text Twist 2, it was like the universe handed me my perfect time sink.
Here’s the gist: you’re handed a random set of letters, and you need to form as many words as you can. To move forward, you must find the “master word,” which uses all the letters. Sounds simple, right? Except it’s not. Those little six or seven letters hide dozens of possible combinations, and half the time I’m staring at the screen thinking, “There’s no way this jumble makes a real word.” And then it turns out the answer is something obvious like “coated,” and I feel like a fool.
The brilliance of the game is how it balances fun and frustration. It’s never so hard that you want to quit, but it’s just tricky enough to keep you hooked.
